Bangladesh Scouts and Kaspersky Lab sign an MOU wherein Kaspersky Lab is supporting the Bangladesh Scouts IT system with its internationally reputed security software solution in Bangladesh, while the Bangladesh Scouts will be promoting the
concept of a “Safe” Digital Bangladesh. It is the first such agreement in Bangladesh where a globally reputed security software company is teaming up with the national scout movement to create awareness on digital safety with the younger generation
of the country.
Kaspersky Lab is the pioneer in popularizing the concept of using legal security software in Bangladesh and is the most popular software brand in the country, while Bangladesh Scouts is the organization fully engaged for the purpose of scout movement to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and members of their local, national and international communities.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Md. Majibar Rahman Mannan, Acting Executive Secretary of Bangladesh Scouts and Mr. Prabeer Sarkar, CEO of Officextracts on behalf of Kaspersky Lab. Mr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan, Secretary, Ministry of
Communications of the Government of Bangladesh & Acting National Chief Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, Suk Ling Gun, Director of Corporate Sales of Kaspersky Lab — Asia Pacific Region, and Mr. Akhtaruz Zaman Khan Kabir, National
Commissioner (Special Events) of Bangladesh Scouts, were present & spoke at the occasion.
The MOU singing took place at a simple event jointly organized by Bangladesh Scouts and Officextracts — exclusive distributor of Kaspersky Lab in Bangladesh on 5 April 2011 at the National Headquarter of Bangladesh Scouts, Dhaka.
