CTIA– The Wireless Association has named Md Mojahidul Islam, a young IT journalist & IT editor of the Daily Ittefaq returning as a judge for the CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards 2014. He successfully Judged last year for the same E-Tech Awards. CTIA invited Mojahidul Islam for judging ‘Network Infrastructure – In-Building Wireless: Small Cell, Wi-Fi, LAN’ catagory.
Now in its Ninthyear, the E-Tech Awards program honors the most innovative products in 17 categories in the areas of enterprise, infrastructure, mobile apps and mobile consumer electronics. Created in 2006, the CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards program has celebrated and promoted some of the most innovative wireless products and services in the areas of consumer, enterprise and network technology.
Md. Mojahidul Islam [Dheow] was graduated In Computer Science in 2002 from National University (NU) of Bangladesh. He also finishes his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2008. Currently he is the IT Editor in the daily Ittefaq. He is the past secretary general of apex body for IT journalists-Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF), member of Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Internet Society (ISOC) and many organizations. He generate issues-led news-stories and feature-article focusing ICT for development, digital divide, e-government, e-learning, country’s ICT infrastructure, cell phone communication, etc. He has awarded fellowship Writing Financial and Business news course in London, UK from 1-5 March 2010 By Thomson Reuters Foundation; Fellowship-Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) International Forum held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 8-9 May 2006; Fellowship-Asia Commons: Asian Conference on the digital Commons; He has written 11 books in Bengali based on networking, troubleshooting, operating systems (OS), Web Design, dynamic development tools LAMP-Linux Apache MySQL PHP etc.
This Year CTIA have received nearly 300 entries. Judging has already BEGUN on Monday, July 21 and will END on Monday, August 4. Winners will be announced Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Awards Ceremony willtake placeshow floorDuring Super Mobility Week in the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, US.
